I am glad that at least the custom-convert file is oke.
In the SSODS/bin directory there is a file called mplayer-stdout which
I put there, after downloading and unzipping the file
mplayer-stdout-ds.tar.bz2, which according to another thread is
supposed to be the proper mplayer file.
In the same bin folder there is the original mplayer file, which
increased in size since the mplayer-stdout file is in that same folder.
There are no other mplayer files in this folder.
The |s-| command is not working (answer: Not expected on this moment).
I don't know if it makes any difference but I am reaching the server
(Linux)through a prompt from my PC (XP).
I have the feeling the problem has something to do with the mplayer
files being executable or not. How can I check that? I am used to exe
or bat files only. The mplayer files have no extension at all. I am not
sure I understand the "file" command you mentioned. (Actually I am
pretty sure I don't understand it).
Another thing I noticed is that in the Plugin/Alien/bin folder there is
still a file called mplayer.sh Shouldn't that one be changed as well
because in the custom-convert file all references to mplayer.sh have
been changed to mplayer.stdout
