I have an old laptop that recently took a nose dive off of a table and had the display broken.
Celeron 2 gHz, 2 gig ram, 130 GB HD... With the display off it only draws about 40 watts, so I am thinking that it would make a good server. My only question is, will it do better with an Ubuntu/Gentoo slimserver install or stick with the XP build that it has. I have a friend that is a linux expert and is willing to help me with the Gentoo install if that is the lighter of the two and more suited for a headless app like this.
