Ok, so I tried various .mp3 players but nothing works. I still can't get any songs to list in the right window of the Squeezecenter software ... so when I attempt to get the .mp3 player - such as Amarok - to play using the link http://192.168.0.103:9000/mp3.stream .... there are no songs listed in Squeezecenter .... so there is nothing to play ....(?)
Also, Squeezecenter freezes a lot and I can't get access to the software interface in a browser window . . . until I restart the computer. I try Squeezecenter restart/start commands but that doesn't solve the problem so, as I said, I have to restart the computer. There is probably a way to get Squeezecenter to restart without restarting the computer but I haven't figured out how to do it yet.
