It was one of the very reasons I wanted this setup.  If running Linux
had been the higher priority and I'd researched it further, I might
have gone with a board with nNividia graphics (or installed a video
card after running into problems), but Linux was only installed to see
how it might work, so no biggie.

You've been around a while, so no doubt remember how poorly embedded
video has performed in the past.  That's not the case any more.  For a
desktop system for office work, web browsing, and audio and video
playback there's absolutely no reason these days for using a separate
video card.  Even a lot of graphics intense games run surprisingly well
with the newest generation of embedded video.
