Thanks, I'll look at supplying patches for the support libraries to fix the compilation problems with 4.3. That's an easy fix as patches already exist for those compile issues.
The only difference from 78 is the libportaudio snapshot is 2 days newer. All other changes are makefile related. I'm interested to see if the timeout error you received after pausing for an extended period of time still occurs with the binary you created. If so, I'll need to look at the API for libportaudio as something has changed with the addition of support for non mmap devices. It's good that you've managed to find a mixer that handles the volume properly. I was hoping to avoid pulseaudio until it's relatively stable, which based on your findings is still a ways off, heck I still use old v3.x OSS drivers on two systems. I'm a strong believer in "if it ain't broke...". but it's looking like I need install it on my gentoo test server. -- ralphy ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ralphy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3484 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57746 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
