The log shows that both the output and decoder buffers are full which points to a problem pushing the audio data out to the sound card. The output buffer would be empty if there was no data being sent from SC.
I was unable to reproduce the problem using alsa. The closest revision I had of 7.4 was r27455 so I was using that, so it wasn't an exact test. I left SS playing flac files overnight and it was still playing audio this morning. I haven't had a chance to install pulse audio and try that yet.
