No. Only with the pulse or default devices. But with those devices the problem sometimes occurs by just stopping and starting playback with squeezecenter. And so far my other programs using the pulse or default devices (like gstreamer) seem to work ok. Sounds like pulseaudio's virtual alsa device is obscurely different from the normal alsa device.
