Why should I ask?  The distribution is irrelevant in this case.

You are right: it is not important.  Hint: perl is not a binary object.
(It is compiled, if you want to be nitpicky, but it is compiled at
runtime... you don't run GNU configure to configure SBS.  So, yeah,
"not important" just as it is not import how you have configured Python
since SBS isn't written in Python..

That's nice.  You confuse your ACL setup by using NFS (you do know of
course that user id's must be synced between client/server when using
NFS, right?) and by using ACL's in general (most people agree that
POSIX ACL's are difficult to do correctly, and generally only for
masochists) and blame the applications....

It could -never- be that your permissions are wrong.
