@Triode, I captured slimproto debugging for two LMS configurations:
First with Volume Control "Output level is fixed at 100%"
squeezelite -d slimproto=debug
[11:00:45.082473] process_audg:345 audg gainL: 65536 gainR: 65536
adjust: 0
Second with Volume Control "Volume controls adjust outputs"
squeezelite -d slimproto=debug
[11:09:30.809999] process_audg:345 audg gainL: 65536 gainR: 65536
adjust: 1
I also tried every option for Volume Adjustment/Replay Gain ("No Volume
Adjustment","Track Gain","Album Gain","Smart Gain"), but that doesn't
seem to have any noticable effect in the debug log.
Isn't it true that with "MP3 Streaming Method" set to "Direct
Streaming", the player is connecting to the source on the internet and
isn't it also true that you get replaygain values from there?
To me it seems reasonable to belief that when "adjust: 0" the player
should disable replaygain, no?
