I've looked at the LMS server code - the key is that you are listening
to Pandora not local files - the problem is that the server preference
setting for replay gain is ignored for Pandora and other streaming
services...
I believe that 0.9beta6 will behave exactly as SqueezePlay (and
therefore the hardware players) do - it will apply the replay gain but
"clip" the output when saturation occurs. This avoids the case we had
previously where the calculated sample size is bigger than max sample
size and wraps around to a erroneous value.
Is the operation of 0.9beta6 causing a problem? I can turn off replay
gain but I was hoping to avoid too many options - at present I think its
behaving like a hardware player would...
