I've experienced the same with some of my mp3 files while using LMS on the wandboard (not sure but I think it affects only to files at 256kbps and above). Sometimes it plays just a funny noise during 2 secs (sounds somehow like the song being compressed and played in 2 seconds) and sometimes it just doesn't play nothing at all but the progress bar moves. I think it's something related to the wandboard's LMS, because normally I run a NAS with LMS as server for wandboard's Squeezelite Player and with it I can play all my mp3 without problem.
