Update... I attempted to change the boot device today by re-configuring
these 3 resistors. But I managed to kill a trace in the process and
couldn't get the WB to boot anymore. Luckily I successfully managed to
reverse the process and my WB is again booting from the SD card. So I'm
back to where I was before; initially boot from SD and handover to the
SSD drive. 

So, I would not advice anyone to try this unless you have the proper
soldering tools (and skills). 
I hope the Wandboard people modify the board and use jumpers to
configure the boot device instead of a soldering iron !!
