Pascal, That's a big shame! So glad you managed to get it working again afterwards - if it was me I'm pretty sure i'd have totally borked the board.
I've had some joy working with the larger SMD caps and transistors and even managed to swap out a few SOIC chips but really don't enjoy it. And as for those minuscule resistors - gulp!!
