Yes, same here, my eyes are not up to this anymore. I use a magnifying
glass during the process but still it is very difficult. 
I knew the danger before attempting it but I just had to try it.

Yes, I know there is nothing to gain in terms of speed. But I was just
trying to eliminate the additional 20 Euro worth of SD card. 
We maybe could use a less expensive SD card if we only load the kernel
from it and then handover to the SSD drive.
