As usual. Some wild guesses. There are several options. 1. First of all alsa-utils can cause the issue as Triode suggested. You can remove it, to see if all gets back to start.
2. You can compare if your DAC is installed and/or configured the same way on all boards. Compare e.g. "/var/lib/alsa/asound.state" on all your machines. 3. The Hummingboard can have different drivers/driver revisions installed (lsmod) then the RPI or other boards. (IMO not required audio drivers should be blacklisted to prevent automatic loading.) Obviously Triode prefers a generic and default "all-drivers-on" mode to stay out of trouble. 4. All boards come with different kernels. Alsa is integral part of the kernel. If Alsa won't get backported there are at least 2-3 years between e.g. a Cubitruck 3.4 and the newest RPI 3.17 kernel. This obviously can make a difference regarding Alsa features and bugfixes. Removing alsa-utils might be an easy way out. Nailing the subject might be the better idea on the long run. ::: ' Touch Toolbox and more' (http://soundcheck-audio.blogspot.com) ::: by soundcheck ------------------------------------------------------------------------ soundcheck's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34383 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=101624 _______________________________________________ unix mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/unix
