OK, this is *really* kicking my butt. I cannot figure out how to make a
sysvinit started service respect values in /etc/security/limits.conf
when the daemon is started as a user other than root. At this point,
having spent as much time as I have learning to write init scripts and
having to learn systemd unit file syntax for Fedora, life is just too
short to have to go back and learn upstart too.
For now, I'm giving up and just starting squeezelite via
start-stop-daemon with --chuid root. I *hate* having to resort to such
a kludge. But I don't know how else to avoid:
Code:
--------------------
[11:13:42.076085] output_init_alsa:673 unable to lock memory: Cannot allocate
memory
[11:13:42.079369] output_init_alsa:696 unable to set output sched fifo:
Operation not permitted
--------------------
If anyone else has figured out how to do this, I'd *greatly* appreciate
hearing how it's done.
