built for i486-linux-thread-multi-
I have had to supply the output as an attachment [slimserver.pl_op.txt]
as it was way too big to be allowed direct posting.
btw. Woops, just noticed that my 7.8 inst gives a similar mass of output
that had disappeared off the top of my screen.:o
I checked and
'/home/software/logitechmediaserver-7.9.0-1417798448/CPAN/arch/5.18/i386-linux-thread-multi/auto/DBI/DBI.so'
is in place. 'ls -l' reveals attributes of -rwx------ 1 10184 10017

Due to the indirection I am unable to identify what file it was trying
to load.
However, I would guess that the files are there but it is unable to find
them.
btw. I AM running as root for all this. Without doing a 'chown' I am
unable to access any of this otherwise. Should I 'chown' the files to
myself [user=dino (id:1000), group=users].
