All we are saying is that for archival, having a master copy of your music library, and then sync it with remote libraries. I backup a whole website with WinSCP. The synchronize is quite smart and very scalable. Of course the better option for scalability is rsync. Samba is far from the best option. However, Lets just put this to bed, we're not going to change anyone's mind.
