Well listers you won't believe this, I was ready to go friday evening
with install
and my power supply died. I booted the machine, left the room for a
few minutes
came back to a black screen and silence. Just so happened I
purchased a replacement
from Small Dog Electronics last month, they had their annual "Garage
Sale" so I've
spent a day surveying the damage. Its seems that I've "lost" my secondary drive
WD Caviar 205BA 20 gig (Master) anyone have experience with recovery from this
kind of problem? Anyway my machine is stable now I've attempted to
install again
and let Xpostfacto boot in Verbose mode. I couldn't write down all
that appeared
but was able to write down these "3 Lines" that repeated several times:

IO catalog: old world support patched IOSCSCD Drive cannot be loaded.
load kernal extension: can't get dependencies for kernal extension
get dependency list for kernal extension: "old world support" patch
cannot be found.

I wrote this down as best I could, does this mean anything to anyone?
I removed my USB card, a keyspan not adaptec which I mentioned earlier and
>I went into the extensions manager and shut off "Extras" to help
>with conflicts.
>I removed half of RAM, 528 installed . Thanks to all that responded,
>especially Britney & Steve. Phillip
