Nancy,

I would be careful with the mixed RAM. You can try to install OS X
and if there are no problems relating to RAM then I wouldn't worry
too much. There is no way to tell externally or internally what kind
of RAM/speed these chips are. The PM9600 can take either FPM or EDO
DIMMS 70ns or faster. I think that the DIMMS all equalize to the
slowest DIMM speed. The 9600 has interleaving capabilities too, so
if these are mixed then you're not taking advantage of this function
either. It's a lot more clean to replace a clutter of RAM chips with
some cheap 128 sticks if you have the $.

I guess it all comes down to what you're doing with the machine. I
originally filled my 8 S900 DIMM slots with a mixture of small
assorted sticks just to get OS X to install while I saved up $. Then
I didn't feel comfortable with all that mess in there (of RAM) so I
cleaned it up. RAM is cheap and will save you from troubleshooting
headaches in the future. The RAM gods could have sent you a mixed
blessing.

But I would say go for it, what the worst that could happen? We're
all here to help if something goes wrong. Looks like you have some
good parts to work with.

Good luck,

Charles Baker
