I've continued to try and print in OS X, with no luck. My latest is to try and hack an Epson SP 700 driver using the 750 plug in.
The instructions are at: http://www.wierdkid.com/weirdkid/printerhack.html So far I've been unsuccessful, and I'm not optimistic, but if enough of us try, at least we'll get to the point of knowing it's not possible.
