I've only heard bad things about WD HDs. My WD 2 G gave up on me after 2
yrs. I took good care of it but...
My Maxtor 15 G has been excellent, but I hear of some problems with
their 40 G and Macs ( or some Macs anyway). IBM has sold some flaky
drives of late, and their warranty has been downgraded apparently too...
I'm thinking of Seagate for my next... but at this point who knows? Only
that there's no such thing as a sure thing, and that what can go wrong
will go wrong, eventually. And so on.
