Why not install 10.2 instead of pulling your hair out. Or are you running a server? Perhaps I missed something... I just upgraded this morning. It took less than an hour, and is working really well. I used XPF 2.2.1. Nice startup graphics on this one. As most have said it is noticeably faster. That means a lot to me as my G3 is of the 400 mhz (512 cache) variety. I made a bold move in erasing my 10.1.5 partition, backing up my Mail folder and a few other things. Jaguar took 1.51 gigs dry (only some email messages thrown into the equation). I didn't install the BSD stuff, or the Asian language fonts. The installation was even easier than X was back in January...
