There's been quite a bit of discussion in this forum regarding video card compatibility on our clones and older machines. This is an area I'm not very knowledgeable with and I have a very basic question.
My monitor is the 17" PowerComputing monitor. The CPU is the PPT Pro 225 with the MaxPowr G3/500 I also have 10.2.1 installed on a partition and all is running well there (when I use it) albeit at times the OS seems somewhat slow. The video card I have in this machine is the ATI Exclaim 3D plus. It has 8 megs ram. Someone mentioned in an earlier post that 10.2 speed improved with the addition of a new video card. Would I get much improvement if I added, say, the ATI Raedon 7000 Mac Edition? I know that's more of a low end card so I thought I might start from there. So, if anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them please.
