I'm not sure if the link I've found after doing a search in google 
was the same link Phil was referring, but at any rate, I did find the 
patch and have just applied it.   I'm going to defer to Phil to 
provide the link he mentioned as I wish not to send anyone to the 
wrong site.

Before I applied the patch I ran a little quicktime movie and had 
enlarged it to fit the screen.  It ran with obvious frame to frame 
movement.

After applying the patch I ran the movie again and it ran much better!

So, for me at least, this patch does indeed provide enhanced video 
performance.  I don't know how all this stuff works but I sure to 
appreciate these tips that come along.  Anyone deciding to apply the 
patch, please read the "readme first!!!" file.    This patch does not 
come without some warnings.
