This page has details on what I was talking about. It refers to the 
Lombard PowerBooks, but the XClaim 3D Plus also uses the same Rage 
Pro chip, and several reports are that the hack also enables the 
retail PCI card, which OS X apparently doesn't load the driver by 
default. Give it a try and see if it helps.
