Greetings,

I am contemplating installing Yellow Dog Linux on my 7300. OS X doesn't
seem to like my setup too much--we'll see how that goes. It drops into a
panic before the installation process can even begin...still some things to
try. But that is not my question.

My question is this: since I installed 2 new 128mb DIMMs (now at 512mb), my
box will not reboot. I have to shut down, and then restart, and all is
good. There is some evidence that some of the more recently made DIMMs are
causing this--other 7300 owners have reported this.

As this is the case, I need to know whether BootX writes boot data to the
NVRAM, allowing (for example) OSX/Linux/other random OS to cold boot.

Thanks for the help!
