Hi Dennis, Not meaning to sound like a broken record but did check the disk with a disk tool before XPFing? I presume you used Apple's drive setup but did you try a custom reformating of zero all data, etc? I have suspicion that some aspect of the X installation on unsupported machines is very sensitive and this is what is causing so much grief. Perhaps there's a fragment of a file still left on the disk such that this triggers a chain reaction that stops the install. Until the exact cause is found, this is my gut feeling. Does XPF also stand for extra pain fun?
