If I may intrude just a bit of reality....Apple *licenced* Xeroxes GUI concepts. Xerox was paid in Apple stock, which, in typical Xerox fashion, they sold just before Apple's stock price doubled.

Read 'Dealers of Lighning' for the story from the PARC side of things...

They sued Microsoft over trademark issues and if you notice, the thing on the desktop in Windows is called a 'Recycle bin' not 'Trash', and by default, it's off on the left hand side in the middle of the screen, not down in the lower right hand corner where God and Apple intended ;-)
