I did a full archive and reinstall and upgraded (downgraded) to 10.2.6 and I'm solid and happy. It wasn't too easy, since I've got lots of haxies that had to be reinstalled, but the archive installation saved everything else that was important.
Here problems I had with 10.2.8:
I could not boot after Software update ran, and waited 18 hours for the 1st Combo update that 'repaired' it.
I had lots of Preferences reset to default
I had Mailboxes lost.
I had Safari Quit Unexpectedly and not load webpages.
I had System freezes (never seen this in OS X).
I had monitors go black
I had Finder flash and the Desktop disappear
I had Copy/Paste problems (invisible pastes, uncopyable text).
I've got two iBooks, a clamshell 366 and a dual USB. BOTH have battery problems with 10.2.8. Anyone know any way to downgrade without doing the full archive reinstallation?
