I'd make two partitions, maybe three. The zeroth partition (ripcord), 512M-1G for OS 9. The first partition (system), 4-8 GB for the OS X install. The second partition, (home), the rest of the disk. Keep all your files on the big home partition except for the ones that absolutely have to be in the system disk. That includes your home directory. If OS X gets stroppy, boot to the OS 9 partition and fix the file system. If you can't fix the file system, if all else fails, you can XPostFacto your way back to OS X. And because your personal files aren't on the system partition you don't lose that much even if you lose the system. You can have OS 9 on "partition zero" or partition two. Partition zero would give you a cleaner "backup parachute", but you can put OS 9 on the home partition instead. -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
