Well, I have been using 9.1 as my "Classic" OS in X. But, not long after installing X, I started to get a Resource Update Error message when classic would start. So, I figured I would try to upgrade it to 9.2.2 to see if that plays a little nicer with X.

Why are you upgrading to 9.2.2? I've found 9.1 to be a great OS and very trouble free. I upgraded to 9.2.2 because of a Radeon 7000 which needs some the video files in 9.2.1/22 to run at it's best. I have odds & ends of issues I never had with 9.1 and since I don't use it much I've never found a fix for. 9.1 works great as classic with OSX. So I saw think twice about upgrading.

Kevin,

Try removing the classic compatibility files and trash then or copy to zip first if you feel happier.

I'll try to remember them all.....

At system folder level
Classic
Classic Support UI
Classic Support

Extns
Classic RAVE
Carbon Lib

These should all get reinstalled when you boot classic from OSX

The other things you should consider is deleting/moving preferences folder from OS9/System folder. Preference are recreated if not present, but if corrupt will give you grief.

Hope thats of some help

Simon
