I have a 9600, and I am now running Panther on it. I used XPF 3.0a7, though version 3.0a8 is out already, which takes care of the cache problems people were having.
If you're not using it yet, try 3.0a8.
I'm using the newest version, 3.0.a8. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Have you tried disabling the L2/L3 cache option?
