If I wanted to take the time, I would google your name and find out
what I could about you. LinkedIn, Facebook, etc. are all next. Plus,
my resume repository and any other contact list that I have. My
corporate ATS ("Applicant Tracking System") and/or CRM First of all,
are you on this continent? Second, are you local to the job (unless I
am paying relocation)? Third, are you in the industry I am hiring for.
If your name comes up, say, in the UPHPU list and I am hiring a web
engineer, and you seem to have smart, thoughtful comments, then I will
reply with the salary range and invite you to send a resume along if
it interests you.
