I think something here can be set in preferences ... perhaps the number of
decimal places ... I mostly use between four and ten but whatever. If the
default value has been over written somehow to 0.0000000000 then maybe reload
SP3 to re-write that. But I'm only guessing. Another dodge might be to open an
old file that has the value as 0.1 then load without replacing your faulty file
into it. Then, also you could delete everything and save the file as your
start-up file. This too might reset that value.

Ah . . . I see the problem the default depth is set to 0.0. I use the
numeric window so infrequently that I'd not noticed it. I am combing through
the options window looking for a setting that would change this default back to
0.1 but I don't seem to find one. Is there one that you are aware of?

And thanks, for your response Neil . . .

If your cylinder is relatively large then the 0.1 default wall size might not
show. In Properties/Specs there will be the two radiuses and the wall height
which you can change numerically ... then it will show in the viewport for you
to stretch etc. But my guess is that you know all this and maybe you will need
to reload SP3 which would be my course of action.

    Subject: Cylinder Creation Failure

    I think I need a reality check here . . .

I am running 5.x SP3 and I just happened to notice that, either I or Real3d
has forgotten how to create a simple analytic cylinder object. No matter how I
attempt to create a cylinder, I get only single flat plane as an end result. I
am permitted only a single click in the definition portion of its creation and
a second click merely finalizes creation. I cannot define radius or length
with multiple clicks like all other geometrics . . . Has anyone else
experienced this or have I just lost my mind?
