HI Marc..

I dont know if there is such an automatic thing..
But maybe would be nice to be able to Link one or more fields or other parts of the VSL structure to a "Source"
Then those that are linked to the "Source" would use that in there fields...

Or maybe if VSL objects could have more than one OUTput..Then one VSL Texture Object could Output1=Color, Output2=Scope !
This could be pretty handy for this, and maybe other things as well...!

I am not much of a pro at VSL.. =) I am a VerySlowLearner =)
I have a simple material in my Default Material library, which I mostly just use for logos =), with a single Texture VSL Object in it.. For a new Logo or so,I copy this material and load the image I want, then I simply Duplicate the VSL Texture object (which now have the correct image) and set its output to Scope and its all done..

Take Care

Hallo user-list,

I often use decals in my projects. Like small logos or simply text.
For this, I create an image in Illustrator and save it as an 32 bit
PNG. Illustrator automatically add a correct Alpha channel.

Inside RS3D I map the RGB channels of the image to the Color channel
and map the Alpha channel of the image to the Scope channel.

My problem now is that I have to choose 2 images from my disk. That's
not well clean. I want to simply choose 1 image. Is there a way to
copy the filename I've choosen in the first Textur object which maps
the RGB channels to the Color channel to my second Textur object which
maps the Alpha channel to the Scope channel?

Such a solution would give me a ready to use decal material: Simply
create a new decal material from the library, set a name and a
filename and that's all.
