Well, I fully uninstalled (also explicitly ensured that the files were
deleted). Then installed again, it completed successfully (although it took
over 30 minutes), I restarted twice. 

Still no sign of m2e. When I check via eclipse's help/about it does not show
m2e. When I check the features and plugins directory, no me2. So it looks
like the install just didn't happen. Note that last time (when I was
installing over 0.9.5) help/about DID show m2e.

So I don't really know what is going on. I do know that I have spent about 3
hours today altogether trying to install m2e. Looks like I'll be sticking
with command line :-(
