>*cautious whisper* It works? Really? I mean, of course it does!
not really...when i started over, like my previous email says, it didn't
work, but i followed your advice and added midgard-config to the PATH, and
it seems to work...or at least complile without complaining. It also got
past the midgard-php4 compile problem. Unfortunately once i got to this
point i realized that i was exactly where i was at the begining of the week,
and solving that segmentation fault problem seemed impossible! see next
point..
>Midgard-config is from very recent CVS.
Yes, and you had suggested yesterday to get cvs from before july 8th. So,
after realizing that i was at the same point, i tried installing from this
CVS. Again, what i did is get the CVS from july8th, and copied these cvs
files to the unpacked lib/mod/php4 directories (regular download) so that
the orig files would be replaced by the cvs ones. ( I hope this last
sentence makes sense...i don't know of another way of explaining...and i
really hope that is ok to do!) Now, everything goes as planned till
midgard-php4 comes along. I get the following when compiling midgard-php4:
In file included from php_midgard.h:46,
from midgard.c:24:
/apps/midgard/include/midgard/midgard.h:40:19: expat.h: No such file or
directory
I had this before, and the problem is fixed (as long as my installation is
concerned) in a later CVS. Now what should i do?
