Ah! Not trying to dodge the question here but you may have to wait for someone else to post. I have never used the getPreferredSize() method before to retrieve the image's client anchor so am not sure what it does actually return for you. In the past, it was necessary to iterate through the Escher records to get at the anchor and that was the method I always used; I simply do not know if both get you to the same information, sorry. If I have the time today, I will play with some code to answer that question and will post again here.
