Hi,
I vote on this! JSame thing here, in a university in Quebec (Canada).
3000+ employees, 35000+ Students. Integration with AD (windcows auth),
LDAP, new SIS and Legacy SIS… I think much more complicated, but I
have the exact same questions.
Hi Francis,
I invite you to follow the thread [1] where Massimiliano is providing
help to Oleg.
I will add one : Are the rest services in 2.0-M1 considered complete
(API wise)? Why ? We have a release prestty soon and want to fit as
much as we can our services to Syncope so to ease the transition to
Syncope.
As you can read from release notes [2], the work-in-progress sections
are related to admin console, enduser UI, documentation and migration
from 1.2.
The Syncope core - exposing the RESTful interface (reference [3], live
demo featuring Swagger [4]) - is instead almost feature complete.
Since you are keen to start with 2.0.0-M1, besides the clear advantage
of a smoother migration to 2.0.0, I can see few drawbacks:
* documentation is far from being complete (but I assure that it will
be much better than current wiki pages, once done), and things are quite
different from 1.2, so almost all wiki pages are not applicable
* admin console is still lacking some important features - within this
respect, 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT is progressing fast but it is unstable by definition
* enduser UI is not ready - again, 2.0.0-SNAPSHOT is much better
Have you already started working with Syncope? Which distribution are
you using?
Regards.
