Yes, I remember this little db, quite a good example for what it was
designed to do. As I recall, it also had a little macro magic to make
things knit together.
I, being newer to OO have not seen this example db. If someone has a
copy can I expect to use it under OOo1.5?
I recently had a look at some of the basic dbs supplied with FMPro V5.
I noticed a simple employee vacation management system, a professional
expenses management system, again relatively simple. I'm not even sure
that there was any scripting involved (although I didn't look in depth).
That is a big point I think. Not using scripting - the more that can be
done without would be better I think. On the other hand scripting is an
integral part of the package, so can't really ignore it - just dont want
to over use it either.
These examples are associated with a built-in help or tutorial to
explain what is going on and how things function, which I find very
educational, and tends to stimulate people who read it to go further
and try things for themselves.
