Overall, I am surprised this process of importing an MSA file into Linux Base is turning out to be so difficult. As you know, when working in OO Writer, bringing a MS Word document is a piece of cake. There's nothing to it. And you just save the document as .odt and the job is done. So I was thinking that OO had the whole transition process down pat. All the MS Office files I have would get imported by their respective counterparts in OO, and everything would be fine. But to my surprise, this process of importing MSA files into Linux Base is very complex. How could any simple member of the public ever contemplate trying to struggle through it??? This process of bringing databases over will have to be simplified a great deal and made smooth, if it is to be possible for the general public to consider.
