Hello Swarup

You can not copy from the data grid view like that, as you have found.

You can do something else however.

A ) you can create a Base file that connects directly to your Thunderbird address book. File>New>Database | Select 'Connect to existing dataabse' | In the drop down combobox select 'Thunderbird Address Book'
Finish and save this odb file.

Up to here I managed fine.

B) Now you can drag a query from the embedded database ODB file to the table section of this Thunderbird Address Book and the copy table wizard will begin.

I first made sure that all Mozilla products (TB & FF) were closed, as
you instructed. Then I opened the Master address database, in the query
mode, and opened the newly created TB address book ODB in table mode. I
tried to drag the query from the Master address ODB, over to the table
mode of the TB address book ODB. But it would not drag. I tried to copy
and paste it, but there was no option to "paste" when I right-clicked on
the tables window of the TB address book ODB. As I could not drag the
query over, so the copy table wizard did not begin either.

What should I do to over the above problem?

Thanks,
Swarup

Well, one misunderstanding there - my poor wording I think.

When you drag the query from your embedded Base file to the Thunderbird Base file you do not drag it to an open table. You drag it to the table section of the main Base window.

To be honest I haven't played around with linking to Thunderbird in a while, let me give it a try here and make sure I am still giving correct advice. Assuming it all goes as I believe it will I may just put it up on the Community Froum with a few screen shots...I'll let you know via the mailing list here.
