Hi,

Depends if there are TDMA/CDMA modems/phones available that you can
address via RS232 wit AT commands. I think there are phones/modems like
that available. What you could do also is request a direct connection to
the SMS-c and use Kannel to connect over IP (if the gateway is one of
the supported SMS protocol interfaces, such as EMI/UCP, SEMA, etc)

I suppose, anyway, that kannel does not support SMS messaging thru' a
TDMA/CDMA modem/phone... That is, the SMS service you set up in the US
probably uses a GSM modem (any coverage in US?) or a direct connection
(e.g., TCP/IP, X25, ...) with an SMSC. Am I wrong?
