Dear Sean,

You must call Clickatell support.

Error 92 usually means that Clickatell's server is denying connection from your IP. If you try telnetting smpp.clicatell.com on port 2345 (or whatever port(s) thetve assigned to your smpp connection) and youll get the same error 92.

I had the same problem, asked their support staff and theyve got me running after a small delay (24 hs). They need to _manually_ allow your connection(s), so be patient with them! :)

You must also get sure that you have allowed your IP(s) on the Clickatell's control panel. You can allow a maximum of 5 IPs, but I suppose youve already done that. The changes there are not inmediate also (I think that maybe they get a message and do the changes manually).

Best regards,

Dear Support,

I am still unable to establish an SMPP link to Clickatell. I am trying
from two servers.

Server One is topup.ie 213.94.212.100 which we have isolated from our
firewall. It is connected to a router 213.94.212.97 . I am getting a
message System error 92: Protocol not available. I have tested our
gateway software Kannel 1.2.1 with a Nokia Phone Card and with Logica
FakeSMSC on a remote server and it functions perfectly.

Server Two is topup.homeunix.com on a DSL line. The DSL Modem has a
static IP 82.141.232.132 which transparently routes all traffic through
to an internal server 192.168.1.1. All web traffic for 82.141.232.132
comes through to this server with no problems. I have also tested
Kannel Version 1.3.1 on this machine to a remote server running
fakesmsc.
The error message on this system is the same as server one.

I hope someone out there can help as I am under enormous pressure to get
the project finished

Regards

Sean Bracken
