Right, it seems to me that I should not waste space on the laptop because it is already smaller, so therefore the monitor can have some space around it (to waste). I cam up with this: https://www.amazon.com/BenQ-RD280U-Programming-Fine-Coated-Eco-Friendly/dp/B0D2PDYHD9/ref=sr_1_4?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.BrisunBTZUtP-u3QwYseO346laW8bCxZSlhy526ezBds8gG0CB2ZTk1zwvlSbS0HK2Zw-LXB8FoIJEbFppcNSTFAwCZT4Xt_O-eW6U0pD7HpzTpTNP_o2_eNFs1-aLTzoBfWlvjIJp0OkfoxhFmYj5D7MgAcsD_prH7oD1jmHYX_KZDi3apr9mMj3xWiv495xjgyTLD07zuqyenJ71TpC_uKHb4akYzYHWrj_26nTq0.4cLdTqjEc5rW8Dy18SbWykpHInzq6t-buWiK7FDJYJs&dib_tag=se&keywords=3840%2Bx%2B2400%2Bmonitor&qid=1782853323&refinements=p_n_g-101013577303111%3A72511692011&rnid=23595186011&sr=8-4&th=1 It has a 3840x2560 resolution. How can I tell if this will work? Also, there are a few terminals with the 16:10 ratio, notably 1920x1200. Would these work? I presume that the resolution would be awful since the laptop screen is itself 2880 x 1800. There are a few 3840x2400 resolution monitors too, but they seem to all be in the 16-17" range. > > I feel the odd resolution is probably simply down to the size and shape > they built the laptop to. Right, thank you!
