Hi Bjarne,
Just curious.
Is "ntp" branded? do you mean the ntp server or?
It is the configfile. This is generated from a template which has
something like "vendorzone" in it.
The vendorzone will be used to setup different default servers per
different vendor.
I.e. [0-3].vendorzone.pool.ntp.org will be translated to
[0-3].centos.pool.ntp.org etc.
The diff from RH to CentOS is here:
https://git.centos.org/commitdiff/rpms!ntp.git/c054b85192ea340529fc9a659cac7ea6b893b50e
Ofcourse we don't have anything setup for ntp, so I don't see any
quick fix here. I'm hoping they'll forgive us for using their ntp.
Quick fix: http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/vendors.html#vendor-zone sign up
for redsleeve.ntp.org ? :)
That sounds like a real good plan!
@Gordan, is this something for you to arrange?
I'll do the patching (of EL7) if the vendorzone is operational.
I have submitted the application for redsleeve.pool.ntp.org. It
may be a week or so before the application is reviewed.
Gordan
