Very true. But: much beta versions from many programs offer this warning, but usually they work fine, so I felt I should isue an extra warning. I am very keen on using OOo, it's a fantastic program, but BE VERY CAREFULL with this late release; it might ruin your work. I found a way around it: i save my work under two alternating filenamens. MyDoc_a.odt & MyDoc_b.odt and I change the version every time I save it.
I expect OOo writer it works fine onder Linux and I'm sure the world will be a much better place after te alpha release but till that time: use it but be carefull. Btw: my file document is HUGE and as with M$Word, that influences stability in negative way, others who use smaller documents may not encounter any problems.
Maarten, excuse me, I am curious of what is HUGE for you? I have a document of 19.6 MB (OOo V1.1.3 + V1.1.4), do you count that as huge already? I mean, if it is the size what is needed to crash OOo 2.0, I could try it too then. Even though I have not installed 2.0 yet.
