Erling, running the Swedish version of OOo 3.0.0 on 64-bit Ubuntu Intrepid,
I find that no matter whether the alternative to represent the decimal
symbol as is done in the standard language (in Swedish, as you mention, a
comma) is ticked or not, «8.5» entered into a given cell in Calc is
automatically transformed to «09-08-05» when I click in another cell. Aside
from the fact that we use different OS, another difference may be that I
have enabled Asian languages in OOo....
