Hmm, let's see, this is WinXPProSP3 (can't recall if we've mentioned
which SP before).
Same here: MS WinXPPro Version 2002 SP3. No clue. Just for grins I'm
going to do the same on another identical system.
Second machine required no reboot. Heck if I know what the difference
might have been. This second on had OOO300m8(Build:9357) on it & the
install appeared as normal (user dialog etc).
Today, I installed it on XP SP3 and it said I had to reboot to start
using the new version.
A few minutes ago I installed OOo3.0.1 on a third machine (this one
running WinXP Home SP3) and this time I had to reboot. OOo3.0.0 had been
previously installed.
